What You'll Do:

 As a Front Desk: Check In & Registration Volunteer, you'll be the first friendly face our neighbors see when they arrive at The Sharing Place Food Pantry.  Volunteers in this role will greet guests and gather basic information to help register or check in our neighbors as they come into the pantry, and support a smooth, welcoming experience for everyone who visits.  

 The Sharing Place uses a check-in system called Food Bank Manager to register our neighbors. Training is required for this role. To get started, don't hesitate to get in touch with communityengagement@lutheranfamily.org or call (317) 359-5467 ext. 216 to be paired with another volunteer for shadowing & onboarding.

 The Sharing Place Food Pantry: 6501 Sunnyside Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46236.  Please enter through door #5 under the Sharing Place banner.

Shifts Available: 

 Every Tuesday, 3:30 pm 7:00 pm

 Individuals who are friendly, dependable, and comfortable working with both people and technology.  This role is ideal for those who enjoy helping others and creating a welcoming environment for everyone who visits The Sharing Place.

 No matter your previous experience or background, we welcome volunteers of all skill levels! Training is provided, and our friendly team will be there to guide you every step of the way!
