What to Expect When You Volunteer at The Sharing Place Food Pantry

What to Wear

• Non-skid and closed-toed shoes; you will be on your feet for most of your shift.
• Comfortable clothing that may get stained from working with food.
• Gloves are recommended, we will provide you with gloves, or bring your own.

Where to Park

• Our address is 6501 Sunnyside Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46236 in the Lawrence Township Building
• There is plenty of space for parking in the parking lot.
• Enter in Door #5 for The Sharing Place

When You Arrive

• Please check in for your shift on the tablet provided on-site or through our volunteer portal.
• If this is your first shift, please complete the General Volunteer Waiver and Civil Rights Training.
  • If volunteers are under 18 years old, the General Volunteer Waiver should be completed by a parent/guardian either before the shift or upon arrival. 
• Once checked in, we will match you with a volunteer leader who can help get you started on your tasks.
