For those who have been to The Sharing Place in the past year, you may have noticed construction going on in the building! It is now The Sharing Places' turn for renovation, and that means we will have to temporarily relocate while the construction is underway. We will be operating The Sharing Place out of Servants of Christ Lutheran Church, located just a 5-minute drive away from the current pantry site.
Here is a look at some important dates to know, as well as some details about what this means for neighbors & our wonderful volunteer team!

Timeline:
- Construction will begin Monday, March 2nd, and expected to end Friday, May 29th.
- The last day of shopping for our neighbors will be Thursday, February 19th.
- The week of February 22nd-28th, we will be closed for shopping as we are working on clearing everything out of the building.
- March 2nd will be the first day open for neighbors at Servants of Christ.
What will be the same:
We will continue to offer client’s choice shopping for our neighbors who visit the pantry. Our public shopping hours during the week will remain the same, but we will NOT be open for the Second Saturday of each month. See open hours below:
- Monday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
- Tuesday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm
- Thursday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
The client check-in process will also remain the same; neighbors will not have to re-register if they have already visited the pantry before. Their information will carry over.
We will still have SilverBox Home Delivery during the months of March, April, & May held at Servants of Christ Lutheran Church.
What will be different:
Our pantry set-up will be similar to how the pantry was during 2020–2022. For those who volunteered during that time, this will feel familiar. For those who were not with us then, this means client selection will be a bit smaller, with a simplified and efficient set-up that allows us to continue serving our neighbors with care while making the transition as smooth as possible for everyone.
Some of our volunteer shifts will change in capacity. Due to relocating to a new space, we will have a decreased amount of inventory on hand. The main shifts that will be impacted are the Unloading & Sorting Donations shifts (Restocking) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Stay tuned to the volunteer schedule.
